Back in the late 40s we had a young city boy who came out to help with the farming. Come diner time, mother had fixed a prime diner. Roast, potatoes, gravy, the works. After several helping of the roast the young man after commenting that it was the best he had ever eaten, he asked what roast it was. Mother had told me just to save beef roast, but liked it so well I told him what part. Beef heart I said, and he would not eat another bite of it
