Palestinians, as Arab Muslims, occupied the area of Palestine for almost 1400 years (since Muslim Arabs defeated Byzantine Romans in 637 AD) prior to the land being forcibly taken from them in 1948 and given to people mostly from the European diaspora, who had not lived there for almost 1700 years since the Christian Roman Empire under Constantine had made it a Christian land until the Muslims took it. (The whole point of the failed Crusades was an UNSUCCESSFUL attempt to return the Arab controlled lands to Christians [not Jews]).
The Jews have not controlled the lands of Palestine far longer in years (almost 1700 years) than Europeans have occupied the land of the First Americans. Most of America has been occupied by Europeans less than 200 years; nowhere in North America has the land been occupied more than 400 years.
No person of European descent, living on any land originally occupied by First Americans, has any right to tell the Palestinians that it was right to take the land they occupied for almost 1400 years and give it to people who had not controlled the land in almost 1700 years unless and until they are willing to turn over land they have occupied far less time to those they took it from far more recently.
This conflict is unsolvable. On the one side, they want to kill all the Jews. On the other side, the Jews don’t want to be killed. Neither side is willing to give an inch, so this conflict will remain for ever.
Conservative (Perl10) logic: SOME Palestinians want to kill all Jews. Therefore, ALL Palestinian want to kill all Jews. Therefore, it’s OK if Jews kill any Palestinians.

How ironic that Jews, who have long been targets of demonization and ethnic cleansing, are now the cleansers. But all they have to do is play the Holocaust Card in order to make their critics feel guilty.
