Oh, is that how the American elementary school system works? I’ve been wondering why school ends in early June in some American media, and in mid-June in others.
That’s what I told my son when he got a week off due to the hurricane down here in Miami. Instead of extending the school year at the end they just had to come to school during days that were originally scheduled as “Teacher in-house” days and the older kids had a few of their early dismissal days switched to full days. At the end, their summer break started on time.
