If the Democrats actually DO follow the old ‘playbook’ from whence Secretary Clinton and her campaign drew their strategies, then they DO deserve to loose in 2018 and 2020. THe main campaign issue used by Hillary in 2016 APPEARED to be based on the fact that Donald John Trump would be an unfit president – which was both completely self-evident and a “given”. She had several firm and well thought-out policy positions, but she rarely mentioned them at her rallies – referring people to her website, instead, where they were posted.
Democrats need to understand that Donnie’s base will never stray from his side, mainly because, as Secretary Clinton so aptly pointed out, they ARE both ‘deplorable’ and firmly committed to the cause of “Donnie”! They all share Donnie’s ‘worldview’ of being a misogynistic racist bigot – They PROVED that when, in the midst of the 2016 campaign, those Republicans likely to vote answered “yes” to the question of whether they STILL believed that President Obama was not an American citizen. That is a well-established Racist opinion, so the 41% answering “yes” placed THEMSELVES into Hillary’s “basket of Deplorables”!
So, campaigning on Trump’s unfitness to serve has ALREADY proven to be a non starter. The American electorate have proven that they care less about well-grounded policy positions and more about electing someone who “shares” their values!
Everyone SHOULD run on a vision of the “future”. Republicans have already amply demonstrated their ‘inability’ to run on anything other the “Fear of Past Enemies”!
Democrats, DO NOT fall into the same trap! Remember, in 2018, your “enemy” is NOT Donald John Trump, but rather his “Water Carriers” and “Handmaidens” in the Congress! Play it smart, and don’t let talk of a “Blue Wave” lull you into complacency!
Basically. How you gonna cry corruption now? They should’ve never forced Hillary down peoples throats. That was just plain dumb. And then to try to be shady about it… Now whenever they call out 45 for his corruption he can say his favorite line… “I know you are but what am I” SMH do better DNC.
