Whenever someone (usually a stranger) asks to borrow money from me, I tell them, “Do you see the letters A-T-M on my body?”.
(My friends and family already know my policy about lending money, so they know not to ask.)
I tell people who want to borrow money “Sure! As long as you pay interest.” My interest is $20 today, $40 tomorrow, $80 the day after, $160. . . . . .about that time they walk away.
