Sinclair broadcasting is well on its way to having 100% market coverage on a national level. The very, very, very conservative Sinclair Company is not required to announce its “ownership” of ANY television or radio station nor are they required to announce WHERE the station’s editorial content comes from. The editorial cartoon is not entirely “fair”, however, because the individual local anchors are usually given a choice – advocate for the parent company’s “position” or don’t let the door hit your butt on the way out! And most local anchors have family in the communities in which they broadcast so it’s difficult to pick up and start over, elsewhere.
We used to have laws and regulations limiting the number of radio, T.V. stations and newspapers any one entity could control, but Republicans have largely destroyed this very limited control – so it is more than possible for America to have Worse-than-Fox News, editorially,on a national level and not even be aware of it!
If you don’t “Fact-Check” EVERYTHING you are being told, you have NO CLUE about what is real.
What we have in the White House is another Hugo Chavez or Vladimir Putin but without the brains. Have you reread Orwell’s “1984”, yet? That’s a pretty accurate guide to the path we’re taking. Of course, Donnie hasn’t read it, there’s no pictures! And I must admit to a certain amount of mystification as to whose hand is REALLY on the tiller of the “ship of state”, since Donnie won’t surround himself with ANYBODY who happens to be ‘smarter’ than he is! We all ‘know’ that it’s very difficult, if not altogether impossible, for any kind of seriously devious plan to spring from the minds of cretins, idiots and imbeciles, so I’m at a loss to explain the origin of the strategy!
