Back in the day, French was the Second Language of choice in Poland. I think Pierpoint is trying to read a very old book. And how does he know it’s written in Polish if he doesn’t know Polish already? Polish is not an easy language for English monolingual porcupines to read….

Interesting. In order to learn French, you must first learn Polish. I’ll just bet that the Polish and French tourists bureaus are colluding on this.
