Truthfully,having been in the military, I can tell you that parades suck.Some second louie walks around hoping to write up the enlisted guys. Then you waste time marching around.It usually looks a little sloppy, because you never practice for parades because you’re studying up on today’s modern systems. Then you think how those hours could have been spent with family and friends before you get shipped somewhere.Then you realize you had to do this because your commander in chief, who never served, saw a parade when he was the guest of another country. What a waste!
