You’re being far too optimistic. Afghanistan is like the Hotel California.

This raises the issue of what would have been a well managed war. This is an oxymoron and a dream of liberals around the world. Wars are by their nature (and more especially when uninformed) nothing more than chaos. A proper response to 9/11 would have been to issue proper ultimatums followed by SIGNED declaration of war and ended with 3 nuc bombs. We could have listened to the public outcry, watched as the namby-pambies blew their money trying to put the place back together and been secure in the fact that no one else would have defied our ultimatums.

This raises the issue of how could Americans ever vote for a competent president, even if one was ever to be put on the stage. That is an oxymoron and another part of the so-called American dream.

mrdoody; You think the US can sprinkle nukes around the globe without fear of retaliation? Those days ended in 1949. The non-use of nuclear weapons is a non-written rule that keeps you from being nuked, too.

If the US uses nukes again, what do you thik will keep other nations from nuking YOUR sorry butts into oblivion?

What more frustrating than a weapon you can’t use?

The time will come soon enough when someone uses a nuke on us. As for 9/11 there would have been complaints but no one with the ability to strike the U.S. would have pulled the trigger. As for ahab at least I have a spine unlike you.
