If we had followed the founders advice and had real representatives, a government of, by, and for the people would be infinitely better that one that primarily serves the wealthy and the corporations. Personally, I think the parties oath to serve the constitution have become just meaningless words … part of a ritual on the path to becoming a corporate lobbyist.
Remember when Craig T. Nelson, “Coach”, said this……“Nelson stated in an interview with Glenn Beck that he had been on welfare and collected food stamps. ’I’ve been on food stamps and welfare, did anybody help me out? No. No.’”
If a government shutdown meant that Congressmen would not be paid, there would never be another. I’ve heard that a few of them who were able to make use of their private gym complained that there weren’t enough towels available, and wondered if the shutdown had something to do with it. (That may not be true though, as I heard it on The Daily Show last night).

You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone. OR IS IT You don’t know what you’ve got till you can blame the Democrats for it being gone?

I hope Chuck Schumer holds his ground and keeps the shutdown going. It’s a nice break from the usual nonsense.

Didn’t realize you could turn your MAGA hat inside out to hide the lettering.
