I encountered this person on a recent trip. In the left lane on I-10, driving less than the speed limit, and texting.

She needs to switch to the camera facing her before taking the picture.

The addiction is too great for them to stop. A young lady, related to a friend, was in an accident while texting. She became the ‘poster child’ in our area for why you don’t text while driving. She was on TV, radio, etc. telling kids not to text while driving. About a year later she was killed in a crash – yep you guessed it – she was texting while driving. As I said the ‘addiction’ seems to be too great for them to stop. Maybe someone will open up clinics to cure their addiction. Or maybe smartphone makers could figure out a way to sense vehicle presence and shut off the capability. Or car manufacturers could build in a safe space (an actual needed truly functional safe space) that won’t allow a smartphone/IPhone to operate in the driver’s seat. I know the ones that do, should know better. I know you can’t cure stupid, I know we need our freedom to choose, I am just saying that -- “I just have to see or respond to this message” -——— is a thought or statement that shouldn’t end a life. Just saying.

Why don’t people remember that you should ALWAYS keep right except to pass?

Did no one else think that this may be a 2 lane highway?
