The thing with Ramirez is he doesn’t display any wit or intelligence in his toons. There are toonists whose views I don’t share who are able to make their point with wit and perception. Ramirez isn’t one of them. His skill level is predictable, pedestrian and plebeian.
Ramirez is a genius …. however you “believecommonsense” are just to cynical and dull to appreciate fine humour … lighten up a little .. learn to laugh, especially at yourself …. (you probably have a lot to laugh about) ….
This toon is making fun of a hearing some time ago when Boxer asked the testifying military bigwig to call her Senator, not ma’am. The context, however, is that the military bigwig addressed all the male senators as “Senator,” then when Boxer asked questions, he addressed her as “ma’am.” So, IMHO, good for Boxer.
What I have said before is that one-dimensional comics like Rameriz, Asay, Rall, Jerry Holbert, and the douche who writes Mallard Fillmore are so predictable, tired and wornout that the only reason I read them is to keep up on what the enemy is thinking.
