67% per cent of the population would like stronger gun laws.

Well, if the municipal, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies would appropriately enforce the 20,000+ firearms laws not the books I think much would happen to curtail firearms related deaths and injuries.

And then, if the municipal, county DAs, state Attorneys General, and U. S. District Attorneys would prosecute the ever-loving crap out of the perpetrators of crimes involving firearms, not agree to insanely stupid plea bargain deals that allow career criminals with a history of unspeakable crimes to not be out of jail in 3 months after committing their 6th felony, I think much would happen to curtail firearms related deaths and injuries.

And then, if the parole boards would stop releasing said career criminals with pages and pages and pages of criminal charges and incidents that occurred while incarcerated it would go even further to reducing firearms related deaths and injuries.

And if I could trust the government to appropriately and adequately vet the people being placed on a list from being restricted from owning a firearm I might support it. Just because a person is depressed should not preclude them owning a firearm – who amongst us has not dealt with bouts of depression to varying degrees in our lives? Just because you speak to a counselor at the VA should not preclude you from owning a firearm.

Gun control has little to do with firearms, but is only about controlling something you don’t like.

I’m blowing this up (enlarging) and putting this on the door of my gun vault to remind me everyday why we need stronger regulation and enforcement. Call, write, e-mail, text, tweet, and or visit your Rep everyday. Please.

The behaviors, attitudes and beliefs about firearms and their usages by Americans vary. Gun ownership in the United States is constitutionally protected by the United States Bill of Rights. Firearms are widely used in the United States of America for self-defense, hunting, and recreational uses, such as target shooting. Gun politics in the United States tends to be polarized between advocates of gun rights, often conservative, and those who support stricter gun control, often liberal. The gun culture of the United States can be considered unique among developed countries in terms of the large number of firearms owned by civilians, generally permissive regulations, and relatively high levels of gun violence.

^Thank God I had my guns, when the Obama’s UN Storm troopers came. They rounded up everyone in the neighborhood who was not exercising their second amendment rights. I hear horrible things happened to them in the FEMA camps; forced conversion to Islam and mandatory gay sex.

Since any “simple solutions” probably have already been tried…

Long article. But worth the read.
