There should be a couple of guys in the background with a “Me too.” bubble over their heads.

The thing that I found especially appalling was that women I admired as being strong, confident and self sufficient posted “Me too”. It appears that none of us are safe or immune.

I read an article that said one in three women experiences sexual abuse at least one time in her life. I think they may have understated it for fear of being said to exaggerate the amount of abuse women go through. I think it was a lot more prevalent everywhere and I think it is still prevalent everywhere. I know a lot of men don’t believe that. Or they just don’t want to believe that. But they should keep an open mind and look around. What they see in reality might open their eyes to the real situation.

If the right-wing doesn’t care about 600 people getting shot in one incident, if they don’t care about schools being shot up. If the Republicans don’t care about the poor who will die without healthcare or the people affected by natural disasters. Why in the world would the GOP care about the millions of women who have been assaulted by men? The only thing they care about women is controlling their bodies.

If you’re a man and you don’t understand what I’m talking about with this cartoon, stop and think about it.

There were several things I was going to discuss in today’s column, but I’ve reconsidered. Today, I’m gonna leave you hanging and let the dudes among you figure it for themselves. And, I’m not talking about the cartoon.

I don’t get it; what’s the point of having power if you can’t abuse it?
