A study from Finland recently concluded that man’s impact on climate is negligible. If you really want to destroy the environment, start destroying the economy. If people are concerned about feeding their children, they don’t care about what happens in 10 years. I’ve seen two NATGEO documentaries recently, one in Peru, where people are destroying a nature preserve because there’s gold there, and one in Indonesia, where people are chopping down Rosewood trees because the wood is so prized. When a group of monks confronted a husband and wife chopping down a tree and explained that the trees are endangered, their reply was “we have children to feed.” The founder of GreenPeace said if we passed AOC’s Green Plan there wouldn’t be a tree left in North America in 20 years. You have to be prosperous to care about the environment.
