This was written weeks in advance, as all newspaper comic strips in the history of ever, have been. So it’s uncanny how THIS comic strip arrived right on THAT day. Particularly the 3rd panel. The 2nd panel can be related “posthumously” to the war that followed, and the 4th panel sorta can be related to the public’s reaction some time after (but not much else we could do).
