There are a couple really old, neglected apple trees near our house, which make it impossible for us to raise good apples; too many moths.

Take the ones on the ground, not the ones on the tree.
That brings back memories. Back in the ‘50s we would snitch pears off the neighbor’s tree and plums off another. They taste so much better than any store-bought fruit!
