Still a lot of places with no power, officials are telling people to stay in their homes if they stayed and not to come back if they left. This is a Republican dream, it is not good news, they are going back to a destroyed home, chemicals in the water, no electricity and possibly another hurricane.
Just a note; there are also swamps in Georgia. I’m wondering what the impact might have been on all those Burmese pythons we’ve been trying to kill off in the ‘glades. Most folks won’t think about the disaster this might be for the non-human environment. The human one could have been abated by better land use planning, that destroyed most of the natural environment that actually PROTECTED humans from such storms!
