Too bad he wasn’t more prepared for it, considering the neighborhood he lives in. For all the big talk about protecting themselves with their 2nd amendment, the “conservatives” are woefully unprepared for this kind of predictable danger. (Never mind looking at actual root causes)
It is inconsistent that those Americans who play the long odds on things (climate change, lack of college education, diversity changes, etc) called themselves conservative.
(Of course, the studies of the 2016 election are starting to show many people with degrees voted for him too.)
All levels of educations are susceptible to a conman. I guess it is the triumph of hope over “common sense”. (I.e. A creature rarely seen in the wild.)
Of course they were prepared: Secretary Pruitt proclaimed that this was no time to talk about climate change even before Irma made land-fall. Just like the policeman at the accident scene telling the onlookers and curious, “Okay, move along. Nothing to see here…” Yup, our Cabinet officers were prepared to duck-and-cover before their constituents could find them.
