The bottom line, tho’, is that we women are not allowed to do any validation of ourselves in that situation. It’s sorta like a strange application of a variant of Godwin’s Law. The first woman who stands up for herself loses the argument.
I asked someone whose opinion I trust what she thought Hillary should have done. And she said it was simple. all HC had to do was face him down. Turn around, put her hands on her hips, and stare at him till he went back to his corner. My friend is a teacher who works with mentally impaired teenagers. She said it works every time. And since DT is a mentally impaired teenager it would certainly have worked on him. In general someone like DT is not used to being backed off. it flusters them.
Unfortunately she is a Social Conservative and an economic Neo-Liberal which puts her closer to the present Republican party. Though in earlier times she would have been a Republican till the Republicans went off the deep end politically into the abyss of extremism. It is easy to sound “liberal” next to them and even capitulate on a few social liberal things while economically willing to sell us out to the marketplace. Which puts her right in the mainstream of Democratic Thought in the leadership of the party.
