CDHPC2, Strom Thurmond was a Dem that filibustered the Civil Rights Act. After it passed, he switched to the Republican party. There was a massive change from Dems to Repubs in the south – Nixon called it the southern strategy. The Republicans used “code words” to avoid being directly racist. Robert Byrd apologized over and over about his association with KKK. You might want to look at some REAL history.
The right wing liars would blame anyone for their actions. They hate others because of someone else right? No responsibility ever taken by the bigot right. Meanwhile the poor Republicans are just trying to march for the statue, they didn’t mean to join up with all those Nazis.
