“summer learning loss”. New one on me. I don’t believe kids lose any learning at all. Nine times out of ten, it’s repeated in the next grade level or teachers just give a short refresher before moving on. If they didn’t learn it in the previous grade due to in-attention, they’ll learn it in the next. Summer learning loss is a lot of hooey in my opinion.

It is sad indeed when education is looked upon as “torture”. Once I had to memorize some multiplication tables during Summer.
