All great ideas … as a start. :-)

I try to be a devout ’pray’er…for all causes…but I admit it’s hard to get my heart in line for praying for priest vocations when my entire sex is unexplainably dismissed.

I do remember a nice, affectionate little comedy show about two priests (“Bless me, Father” it was called.) A female parishoner asks of the senior priest why “there can be no female priests?”

The Father replies “Because the Lord chose only men to be his disciples.”

The parishoner responds “Yes – but didn’t he also choose only Jews to be his disciples?”

(Much humming and hawing at this point…)

Good point; however, having had a couple of thousand years to consider it, they undoubtedly have some answer. Such as, having forcibly converted or slaughtered as many of them as they could, “We’re the new Jews; so, only men still.”

This is an all males club. Women should start their own and put men in a lesser spot they can earn to a greater one.

This “cartoon” has gone farther off the rails the longer it has existed. Does it appear in the National “Catholic” Reporter?

Seems like a good time to say happy Father’s day!
