I had a push mower when I was a kid. Luckily our yard was measured in square inches. I asked my dad if we could put down AstroTurf (new invention then) and he said he didn’t know where to buy plastic fertilizer.
We had a manually operated reel mower, but it didn’t get much use. It turned out it was very hard to use on our lawn. In addition, it didn’t do a good job.
