Wait, wasn’t Roland an extremely intrepid reporter at one time who lived by the Star Trek credo (“boldly go where no reporter has gone before”) and actually explored Ronnie’s brain?

It’s kinda ironic that Gary chooses this moment to go after Fox News when they’re the only ones who are doing their jobs and actually questioning our fearless leaders… which I thought was something that Gary was in favor of.

Nemesys - well yeah, kind of, but you must surely realize that Fox doesn’t care about the answers to their “pointed” questions… they just want to be perceived as against the dirty liberal Democrat who got into office despite their best efforts to get another neocon elected.

OK, somebody cue the clowns, and dancing Llamas. Roland just went Bye-bye.

GEE1A - Rush Limbaugh? I’d rather listen to Alf. HAH!

Roger, you may be correct, but that’s beside the point. Either one has objective principles, or one does not, and if one does, then they apply to all sides. If they’re politically selective, then they never existed at all.

Roland, this just in: It’s not for newspapers much longer, because neither are newspapers. Alas. Newspapers have always been the bedrock of comic strips’ sustainability, and when they’re gone?

Nemesys - that’s why I get most of my news from the BBC’s Third Programme.

May be it’s just me, but of late I realize that most news channels use the word “story” (like “our correspondent has the latest story”, “this story just in”)a lot.

These days I enjoy the political commentary (most people confuse news and commentary: fox is labeled right wing because of its commentators - not because of its reporters) the most. You should listen to these pompous arseholes. It is a good way to entertain yourself.

Nemesys - I was still reading my comics on paper back in yore, so I’m not trying to play gotcha. I honestly don’t know, so tell me: were you openly critical of the press for giving W a pass on the pointed questions during the run-up to the invasion of Iraq? If so, I tip my hat to you. If not, isn’t that an example of politically selective priciples?

I don’t know about the various areas of the country where all of you live, but here in DC, MyFoxDC, Channel 5, falls all over themselves praising BO. If he blows his nose, they have a reporter standing at the trash can commenting on his lastest ECONOMIC stimulus (not using all of the tissue)! <:-)

Fox News recently admitted to using Republican Party talking points and claiming they were objective news items. How anyone can call that decent news work is so far beyond me, I think it’s somewhere in the slums of Mumbai.

Fox is Republican. People who don’t even watch the news could tell you that… the fact that people think bias news is actually news, is absolutely ignorant. Bias news is an opinion of the facts, NOT facts about the facts. WOW… de-evolution of the press is right! Bye bye Bush (thank God) and bye bye Fox. (hopefully)

I finally weaned myself off the “news channels” last week while out of town. I now get my news from comics and political cartoons. It seems more accurate to me.
