Congratulations, Ted! Your man Trump killed more Iraqi civilians with one drone strike than Obama did in 8 years of drone attacks. And it will only get better with Trump’s $500 Billion expansion of the military. So glad we listened to you and didn’t vote for that warmonger Killary!

Reminds me of the great old “National Lampoon” article “If World War Two Had Been Fought Like the Vietnam War.” I wish I had the link.

Damn near ready to delete Rall from my favorites. Understand his politics, but his hold on reality is slipping. Ted, WHAT do you want Dems to do? ARM themselves and riot in the streets? GRETA! Trumpism forever, right?

Excellent cartoon. As the saying goes, don’t bring a knife to a gunfight. Democrats bring a rubber knife to the all-out war. They reserve their guns for fighting progressives.

The Democrats need to be radicalized.

I don’t want to rain on your parade, [fake new, I DO want to rain on your parade] but the resistance WAS funded by the OSS which was funded by the Democratic President and the Democratic Congress. I think that should invalidate EVERYTHING you’ve ever said about we democrats.

There’s something Vichy about the Democratic Resistance.

And if your republicans had been in charge in 1941 we would still be arguing about America First and ten years later after the Japanese had landed on the west coast and the Germans the east coast would still not authorize a war. Think about (1) the America First lobby and the Republican Party refusal to hold a vote on whether or not to authorize continued operations in Iraq and Afghanistan when a Democratic President asked them to.

This is kinda what we were doing during WWII, then we got bombed and woke up and did something about it. Gorsch? Russia? Nepotism? The next tax cuts for the rich? This Nunes gaff? Spicer? We don’t know where the Pearl Harbor is coming from. It is more likely not going to be one big event than the slow grind of consistent crazy.

The current Democrats have become corrupt and have lost their way… Rall is just pointing this out to us. Plugging your ears and shooting the messenger won’t change anything.

The Democrats have not invested in helping the middle class in ways that the middle class can recognize as helpful. By aligning with the inequity-producing, trickle-down, neoliberalism, they’ve become Republican-lite. The elderly voters are afraid of the dictatorships that were mislabeled as socialism and have already built a virtual wall around the US. The elders have little to know interest in other nations and long for the days that the US was number one and do not want to know about more successful societies and their was no one to counter the political propaganda on the radios and cable. The Trump voter are more anti-establishment that they pro-Republican, as the Republicans haven’t kept their promises either. The Democrats really need to look to the Millennials and Gen-Z and then at the grass roots level not from on high.

Corporations are automating human labor at an accelerating pace and there will be a surplus of human resources that both parties are going to have to deal with after the current president and Congress are replaced with (hopefully) leaders who are actually aware of the real world and real people instead of imaginary conceptions of them.

The real resistance to WWII was led by a Democrat named FDR.
