What’s the first thing a driverless car will be programmed to do? Not run anyone down. And you know what that means. Anyone who wants to stop traffic in four directions will simply… walk into an intersection. Unless there’s crappy, angry, mean drivers still in control of their own cars. Write it down. Gonna happen!
You should gain points for taking out a jay walker or the jerk walking in the middle of the “road” in a parking lot – it would only improve the gene pool. Drivers should not be penalized for stupid pedestrians!
Frank is absolutely correct and that’s really sad.
for the record… I jay walk all the time, but only after ensuring I WILL NOT be in the way of traffic.
Absolutely brilliant!!I live in a small town with an overabundance of extremely well educated folk – I’m talking multiple PhD/rocket scientist types. They really do wander aimlessly into traffic, especially in the 4 blocks of our business district, while reading a science journal or pondering the many states of matter.

It’s always the drivers.
I find cyclists can be quite rude as well.
