As was suggested by Eldo yesterday, I changed my avatar to a picture of Ike so people not on Facebook could enlarge it and see what he looked like (I had a little trouble figuring out how to enlarge the picture so I could see it better, but I finally got it to work). This is not the same picture I have posted on FB. I took this picture when one of my brothers (the one whose cats I was catsitting for this past week) was helping me do some work in the living room, tearing out plaster and lathe, insulating the walls and putting up sheetrock. So the wall behind Ike is unfinished and unpainted, but you’re not going to look at the wall, you’re just going to look at my kitty. He was only 2 years old when I took this picture.
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it before, but YumYum has taken to scolding Paul and me if we sneeze or blow our noses or sniffle in any way. Not only that, she keeps it up until we apologize to her for hurting her ears!
Ike knew he was a handsome kitty. I never had a problem getting him to pose for me as he did in this picture. Thank you again everyone for your sympathies at my loss.
bbear latest update. He says “Bob Wharton1 hr · I had both knees replaced last Friday. I learned that I had probably waited too late to do the surgery. The pain has been very bad. But the worst was when I was asked to stand up and my legs responded in effect “(censored) you” and nothing happened. I am progressing slowly. I will continue to recover at the Genesis center in Harmar.". I censored Bob’s mild expletive…just in case someone objected.
