I’ve always had trouble with politicians who put an ideology above factual evidence … all is lost when reliable data is discarded to advance ideology. The concept of exclusive. opposing parties working for their self interests rather than cooperating parties reconciling their differences and working for the people … is seriously flawed and can lead to an authoritarian takeover by a fringe minority.
I wouldn’t confuse it if I could find real journalism. I’ll believe the media’s return to the straight and narrow when they apply it to people they like.
Newspaper ‘journalists’ like to kid themselves about standards, the truth and the like. They cannot accept that the world holds them in low regard. The old adage remains true; “Don’t believe everything you read”.

Reality TV has come to the white house. Opium for the masses.

That is “Reality TV” but it is really open scripted not “real”. I hate it.

You left out “editorial control by billionaire owners”, in the case of many newspapers.

The right wing has taken steps through out the years to make sure people do not understand the difference between these two panels.
