True. He call it quits August 29, 2016. I really did like his announcing.

Yeah, Dodger games just won’t be the same without him.

spring training started 2 weeks ago.

She loves to puncture his ballon.

Many of the greats have retired/passed on. The new generation has good and not so good announcers. But baseball is still enjoyable.

Like old Dizzy Dean once told his sidekick, Pee Wee Reese during a broadcast about how he liked taking his best girl to ball games. He would kiss her on the strikes and she would kiss him on the balls. That was way before the days of a 7-second delay.

So much player turnover I don’t watch anymore.

As a lifelong Dodgers fan, this hurts. But it’s funny.

Hey, I had to suffer through the retirements of Chuck Thompson and Bill O’Donnell, plus the slipping-through-the-fingers of Jon Miller. All good things come to an end.

I feel the same way (kinda) about Verne Lundquist from college football, who retired from announcing after last season. A really solid figure.
