Narrator: 60% of Americans want their son or daughter to marry a member of their political party.
Woman: I'm poly.
Man: Cool.
Woman: Wiccan.
Man: Rad.
Woman: Transgender
Man: nice.
Woman: Voted for Hillary.
Man: You're both dead to me.
Because the real problem our country faces is from Bernie democrats and Clinton democrats? Maybe if the Democrats had blind party loyalty like the Republicans do, they could be threatening judges and giving infomercials for their products. They could be silencing the Republicans and not voting for the president’s nominees. Or maybe, this is not the biggest issue we are dealing with right now.
Meh. Buyer’s remorse of a new and different sort…someday Rall is going to have to come out supporting some actual plans of action or descend into irrelevancy. There’s just so far the “pox on all your houses” meme can go before it burns out. And since 44% of Americans claim to be independents, his data seems to need an update as well.
I have told my kids for years that they I’m fine if they are gay, I don’t care if they marry any race, religion, etc, but bring home a Republican and you’re out of the will.
So is it rape when someone joins a party in order to batter the gal before leaving again only to try to hijack it from the outside? Nominally they were the SAME party during the campaign but this comic paints the reality, never were.
Sort of like a cartoonist who was so angry that his socialist candidate was ignored that he tirelessly attacked the only competent candidate left in the race. Now that cartoonist spends his days whining about why the unqualified candidate won the election.
Sanders was being gracious considering he and Hillary are on opposite sides on most things. But I have no problem with whom ever was voted on since I won’t know. As you should not know. Some of my family relations are happy with Trump thinking is business acumen will save us. Only in that Trump fails everyone but himself.
Democratic disorganization goes back to the famous quote from Will Rogers, at least. It is one of the “problems” of democracy: it has no Fürherprinzep to keep the underlings in line – but that is also its greatest strength if not carried to extremes. However, in the 2000 election, my county didn’t even have have a Democratic Party County Chair, it has no regular meetings or county headquarters, even in the peak of election campaigns – and that includes Sam Rayburn’s home town.
