Interesting story. Many years ago the President of Ford had an advertising man on the payroll. One day the president went by his office and noticed the man had the lights off, his feet up on the desk and his eyes closed. When asked what he was doing, he said thinking up slogans. Well like Mutt he got fired, but after he left the company found his idea and used it.
His idea was to have a series of national billboards with the slogan Watch the Fords Go By. It turned out to be the company’s most successful advertising campaign ever.
