He visited the “hermit kingdom” in their long time trade city of Xuax and elicited some fascinating possibilities, but they had him cold. They knew who he was and more importantly, what he is and said in no uncertain terms to back off. They will trade, but on their terms. He could do nothing but accede to their demands….for now anyway. The Japanese Empire was much the same way, only they were interested in expanding their market value and would listen to proposals on it.
Africa there were some possibles though the Lygerians were strange—-stranger even than the Sino-Peruvians. But they too would trade. He wonders about their silver eyes. He could feel energies of a more esoteric nature in that place. Never invaded, mostly, but never conquered and yet they have not had any imperial forays either. As far as anybody knows they have been there forever. They, like Ukraine, love spiders. More so than the Ukrainian because he saw plenty of tell-tails of them being around but out-of-sight. Big ones. He will need to investigate further.
His biggest breakthrough was when he met vampires from the hidden Vampire Empire.
And from Milan tonight comes word that Italian police have swooped down on yet another nest of plotters!
