Doonesbury by Garry Trudeau for April 25, 1974

Mark: For obvious reasons, there can be no presentation of the award for best female conspirator. The absence of Watergate women is the subject of Michael Doonesbury's analysis. Mike: Because of sexist polices in the White House, there were no women in on the decision making process of the cover-up. While Ms. Woods and Ms. Harmony did their parts, they were not in real positions of power. We recognize the prevailing belief that women are "unable to keep a secret," but in our judgment, this does not justify withholding from women their equal right to obstruct justice! We, the management of WBBY, deplore this situation. Mark: We invite your comments, too.
