Fundamentalists don’t come in just one flavor.

One who follows the fundamental teachings of their religion will be different from another according to what those basic teachings are.

A fundamentalist view of Islam includes enslaving infidels, killing those who convert or reject Islam, several other actions exemplified by the actions of ISIS and Taliban among others.

A fundamentalist view of Christianity includes loving others as yourself, treating others as you would like to be treated, forgiving those who wrong you, doing good things not out of fear of government but out of respect for secular government.

Many who are called Fundamentalists don’t actually follow the basic teachings of Christ. Even if Pence falls short, if he is serious, he can be reminded of the call for love and kindness at the heart of Christianity. In contrast, a Muslim who is reminded of the basics will often go on a killing spree.
