We are really in trouble when 20-30 percent of the population beleive the news they read on Facebook. Americans used to have common sense, now they flock to any news story that confirms their biases.
That.. is what “Free Speech” get you.. The bedrock of your Constitution will be the demise of the US of A. Society can dismiss the “odd” crackpot but when your leaders can spout lies without repercussions. When folk no longer take responsibility for obvious wrongs / errors in judgment and the first word that comes out is “not guilty”.. the future of the society is in trouble.
Just remember if you can not prove all the lights in the sky are UFOs, some of the lights in the sky may be UFOs. This is how Fake News works. People buy into this fake news and people in real life get hurt. Trump is a conspiracy theorist, and Tweets Fake New and clearly false statement. This kind of thing will only get worse as theories get more outlandish. You can convince yourself of anything when you want to believe.

You can waste your time proving that their claim is pure nonsense, but when faced with that proof, they just change the subject.
