Second Tuesday in November
Woman: If you don't like the Democratic Party's Republican policies, think how much you'll hate the Republican Party's Republican policies!
Man: Shh- I'm stalking a gorgon.
Ted Rall, the election is the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November, or is this a comment on how soon after voting in the moronic Teapublicans will the electorate turn to video games?
Only the Republicans could laud “small business” in the morning with their “Pledge”, then vote against “small business” in the afternoon. That takes some doing, or a complete lack of shame.
^^ Or competent knowledge in American idiocy. Who’s actually going to go find out the “facts” behind what their leaders are saying? That requires work, turning off the cable networks and doing research.
What is really missing is Eugene Robinson’s indictment of the electorate as a bunch of spoiled brats. Of course, no one will ever come out and say it, else it’d be another “malaise” mockery.
Lavocat is dead on here. (nothing new there) Rall is making fun of the Dems argument for themselves. He is saying that both have Republican policies so what is the incentive to vote anyway? And probably a bit about widespread apathy and inattentiveness too. I’ll be voting regardless. Someone has to bother to vote for a real candidate (“3rd party” but I think of them as “first”, as in better) instead of wasting my vote on one of the Republican candidates.

If we kick the Party of No out then the Senate can get things done! Otherwise it’s two more years of stagnation.

The Democrats could gain 10 votes in the Senate simply by abolishing the filibuster rule.

What an interesting toon.
A double entendre punchline and a situation where the character is either sharpening his observation skills, or fleeing reality.
Why is the front door open?

But, but … Nader was wrong!
Uh huh.
I yearn for the good old days when the Democrats actually had principals and stood up for them.
Now, their slogan is “Oh yeah? Well, at least we’re not as bad as THOSE guys!”
Vote Democratic in 2010 … because we suck LESS.

Is that an actual endorsement for the Dems? Could Mr. Rall be going soft?

WRONG! You apparently have no clue about Rall’s poltics.

I believe Radish and pirate227 are right. Nice touch at the end, pirate.
