James O’Keefe is a creep and IS UNRELIABLE. The man heavily edits his “reports” and has cost innocent people their careers just to further his falling off the cliff right wing agenda. The problem with you righties is that you fall for the O’Keefe and Bannon types because you so, so, so want to believe their nonsense.

O’Keefe has been proven a film flam artist, not and investigative journalist.

The NYT did not hand editorial control over to Clinton. Most media outlets will give campaigns a chance to rebut or correct a story on the campaign before publication, especially if they are quoting someone from the campaign Trump’s campaign is afforded the same opportunity, but often ignores those requests.

Scott Foval from the O’Keefe tape never worked for the Clinton campaign. O’Keefe is known to make unethical edits to make false claims. Foval may have been taken out of context. He may have been a blowhard idiot who was putting a joke on whoever was secretly taping. Only an idiot would equate protesting a Trump rally to rigging the ballot box.

30 seconds into the video, it became obvious that the material was spliced together from multiple interviews. Scott Foval, who made the comments about disrupting Trump rallies, is a small potatoes local activist who contracts with various organizations. He was contracted with American’s United for Change, a progressive group that Bob Creamer was involved with.

O’Keefe has repeatedly been caught editing videos to make it seem as if people said something completely opposite of what was happening. What he’s doing is propaganda, not journalism. It comes as no surprise that you’d think Project Veritas is a credible source.

And how does Trump react? With jokes about the violence, and offers to pay bail for those committing it. That says something about him.

Good luck fighting the good fight, Tom. They’re hopelessly lost. I just read the posts once in a while to see how much so.

The conspiracy theorists have an interesting dilemma, as you can’t prove a negative. True conspiracies are relatively rare. Their actual existence, however rare, is catnip to the theorists. They like to think that they and they alone have the discernment to identify conspiracies. It makes them feel like they have solved the riddle. They’re nobody’s fool. They often suffer from out-of-control confirmation bias. Occam’s Razor is the best antidote—but the theorists love the seductive special feeling they get knowing they are one of the only people clever enough not to be taken in.

You’re making the claims. You get to provide the sources otherwise, as Hitchens said (on antoher topic), “Assertions made without evidence can be dismissed without evidence”.

I think almost everyone here understands the reasons why we have a Constitutional Republic instead of a pure Democracy, except you & the huckster who’s site you linked. Our election process is very well monitored & very transparent compared to most. So called “Faithless Electors”, who vote for a candidate other than the one they were supposed to support, are exceedingly rare.

The only credible complaint you make is that the two parties have maintained a near monopoly on political offices from Dog Catcher to President. Trump may have partially solved that situation.
