Now watch thousands line up to sue the US government for wrongful death by drone strikes or shock and awe. What were the idiots in Congress thinking?

The immunity made sense. The Republicans target was HRC. Their fixation was HRC. They could find nothing to convict her with. By offering immunity, anyone could say anything about HRC with no consequence. But there was still nothing to bring charges against HRC, who was the only target the GOP was interested in.

at www.breitbart.com is an article, by Lee /Stranahan,“Obama Protects Saudi Arabia, As Islamic Officials Admit Funding Jihad”and the article said the Saudi officials said the beginning was around 1960."-“..the Saudis spread Islamism through the creation in 1962 of the massive ‘charity’ called the Muslim World League…..the Saudi style of Islam, Wahhabism….”

It will be good when the world sues America for its war crimes. It might slow down our out of control right wing military industrial complex.

I see the AG has a huge stack of “immunity” cases in her “immunity” box. But the funny thing is Clinton was investigated over and over. Not immune as much as not guilty. Trump on the other hand just had to pay some money from his foundation and his problems go away, talk about immunity.

Good point. If Trump gets elected, the first thing he should do is pardon himself for everything he’s done up until now, and then renew the pardon every morning with his breakfast. That should stop those pesky congressional investigations.

Everyone in the Bush 41 and 43 administrations, your line begins on the right. As for Nuremburg, Den Hague awaits, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Bush, Rice, Wolfowitz, Bremer and other authors of “W” administration war crimes. Yep, then there’s Trumpy and his “take the oil” ignorance.

The problem with the Saudis is that they are a regional counterpoint to Iran in our and our allies’ management of the Shia-Sunni conflict. Of course W inflamed and ignited this conflict by invading Iraq which radically destabilized the Middle East, provoking much of the current bloodshed.

KSA exports jihadism through their radical elements, and are a theocratic mess. Iran exports far less terror than KSA. They are Shia, though, so they support the Alawites in Syria. But they view Hezbollah as a political organization fighting a political disagreement over territory, and not as a terror group.

The whole dynamic is far more complex than someone like Mr. trump or his supporters seem to appreciate. Plus anything to do with the KSA is problematic because of the Muslim holy sites.

But the factual reality KSA has lost much of its economic leverage over global oil supply and prices because of US technology. See yesterday’s Wall Street Journal:

    http://www.wsj.com/articles/two-years-into-oil-slump-u-s-shale-firms-are-ready-to-pump-more-1474968601

In fact, the oil-related global leverage held by all of OPEC is declining as the US energy industry has shown it can now come on strong with new supplies. It’s bad long term news for our climate, but good short term news for our economy and our country.

I heard on the radio this morning, that one of the Senators who voted for the bill, has already called for changes to the law . . . after the election.

Shouldn’t the Saudis have been making the request of Hillary? Excuuuse me. I meant the Clinton Foundation.

Seems like some Saudi Princes offered around $10 million after 9-11, and it was turned down. On the other hand Saudi should have paid a lot more than than, under the table, just to avoid today’s legal mess.

moderateisntleft said, “The immunity made sense. The Republicans target was HRC. Their fixation was HRC.” .I sometimes think we’re talking different subjects. There is immunity to get truth regarding Secretary of State Clinton and there is immunity from responsibility from knowingly financing the 9’11/01 attack — and many others..Presumably they are all innocent.

.“The Senate vote was 97 to 1 and the House tally was 348 to 77….Reid voted against the override despite telling reporters earlier this month that “I support that legislation” and Schumer’s efforts….”(I was for it before I was against it? The gold standard of agreements?)“In the House, 59 Democrats and 18 Republicans voted to back the president’s position.”
