There are a few hundred thousand innocent Muslim victims of drone strikes and shock and awe that would just love for the bill to pass which they can use as precedent to sue the American government.

This will cause serious problems if it passes. The US will get sued by somebody in most countries around the world. I guess the only ones who will benefit is the army of lawyers who will collect their fees fighting all this stuff. It really would be a very bad for the US

This is how Republicans help. Lets open up the US to being sued, and pretend that because they say so Saudi Arabia would pay us for what happened. Would they go after W and Cheney for their party as well? Or does that even matter to the right?

Obama’s spineless veto will be hopefully overridden with plenty of Democratic votes. The Saudis are a virulently right wing family/ruling class who oppress women and discriminate against racial minorities. Why in the world does the President consider them allies ?

Who was it who we would see holding hands with Saudi bigwigs, and even kissing them? Name started with B.

Does anybody remember a short -lived TV series by the name of Dark Angel staring Jessica Alba. If the Rethuglicans have their way our whole country will be like that show.

The United States of Saudi Arabia. Didn’t we all saw that coming? What a great legacy. Children will read that in the history books and feel shame, shame that the country was sold so cheap.

The lesson here for the Saudi’s is too much power leads to corruption.

I’d much rather see Bush’s buddies he flew out of the states after 9/11 in a US prison, and any others involved back home extradicted as well. Tort is a dumb thing to do as it does open US companies, individuals, and the government to lawsuits. Now about letting foreigners “over there” get Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Feith, Wolfowitz et al into their court systems for war crimes.

Kip WI don’t remember Obama giving Saudi royalty a free trip home while all other trans-Atlantic traffic was diverted to Goose Bay without notifying, much less consulting, the Canadians. Must have been someone else.
