I’ve often wondered – when someone gets a valuation in the tens of thousands for their object, in a very public venue, do they get Brinks to take them home? Or do they just carry it back on the bus?
I watched enough British Antiques Roadshow that I could guess the valuation just by the appraisers’ tone of voice!
