The Middle East HAS given us the bible, old and new, which has spread the real inspiration for human behavior: kill anyone who stands in the way of what YOU want!! (God gave you permission.)
Taking the bible literally has been responsible for 50% of the suffering of the human race. Taking the koran literally has been responsible for the other 50%.
If all the blood spilled in the Mideast in the last 50.000 years (Neanderthal included) had somehow seeped into the ground and collected in large pools, it might nearly rival the amount of underground oil. That’s hyperbole, of course. But conflict in the area will probably bring on the end of a great part of human civilization. Armageddon is an actual place.
What a destabilized backwards war ravaged country. I bet Kerry can’t wait to get home and be touted for all his efforts by politicians of both stripes. Or… are we just as bad? Will we celebrate him or take him down with verbal assault and words to wound someone who is working so hard for peace? Is this something we should be supporting.. Peace? Or is this a fool’s errand taken up by a fool?
Until all are willing to give their neighbors peace, there will be no peace..Supposedly Robert E. Lee said,“It is well that war is so terrible, otherwise we should grow too fond of it.”but in fact it is terrible that even that doesn’t encourage many to reconsider.
deadheadzanThen how do you explain the Japanese Empire in late 1930s – early 1940s? In 1943, E. Stanley Jones stated “The Christians in Japan constitute one half of one percent, but they delayed the war ten years.” The largest population of Christians in Japan in those days were in a town called Nagasaki. Remember what the US did there? That neighborhood and the largest cathedral in all of Asia was was ground zero. “Lord God of Hosts, Be with us yet, Lest we forget. Lest we forget.”
Peace? Americans don’t want negotiations. We want strength, and strength is the same thing as belligerence. We should go in there with our big guns and show them who’s boss. That has worked well in the past….
