I always read the safety leaflet. Sure, it always says the same, but it would just feel so stupid to need it the one time that it changed.

I had one emergency landing – the front wheel of a 747 got stuck – and I expected to panic but I was rather resigned to my fate.
Most landing emergencies are survivable, even the most spectacular belly landing. Unfortunately, by that point, they’ve stopped serving drinks….
