My parents had to spell words such as “ride”, “car wash”, and “church”. (A place big enough for a large dog to run.) It didn’t take long for Flossie to figure out what they were spelling.
Back in the 1980’s or 1990’s Smithsonian Magazine ran an article titled “Why Do Dogs Bark?”, with a humorous cover with line drawingsof numerous caricatures of dogs in various positions of ‘bark’. Their most logical conclusion was “because they can!”
Devo said they wore different hats for all of their videos and concerts but after “Whip it” became so popular, people wanted to always wear that same hat over and over.
