Quaint mythology as long as it is not taken too literally as fact. The entire basic premise of “sin” and “salvation” in conservative “Christian” mythology is just another human sacrifice legend similar to many other primitive tribal societies: a talking snake in a magic garden convinces a woman to eat an enchanted fruit which makes an invisible sky god so angry he has to curse all humankind with an evil spell called “sin,” that can only be broken by a human sacrifice — sacrificing his only son (who is really himself) to himself. Primitive tribes sacrificed virgins to ensure a bounteous harvest.Conservative Christians believe god sacrificed himself to himself to save people from himself.http://danizier.wordpress.com/2011/04/22/bloody-human-sacrifice-atonement-mythology/
