Unfortunately people still died. And most from the slow response from a certain president who shall remain nameless.

Warnings given, ignored, school busses (means of evacuation) destroyed because they were left unused in the motor pool. Then had to be replaced. Blame Bush.

50,000 homes have NOT BEEN REBUILT! Mississippi has a blow-hard governor, and still no real relief. Now some of those same folks are sucking up the “gift” from BP- recovery, flame burning, right, it’s BP burning off natural gas on a drill rig.

I blame every public official from Bush down to the school district & city bus people. Public domain, in a disaster, should have commandeered every city & school bus in the State, every GreyHound & AmTrack in the South.

But they’ve outlasted a couple of empires. Just do, that voodoo, that you do, so well.

It is so easy to criticize when you have no responsibility. Many Democrats blamed Bush after Katrina but when they were in charge and the oil spill occurred they found solving the communities problems was so difficult that they too failed.

The federal government is not designed to jump in instantly locally after a disaster. That is the job of the city, the county and the State. Called Federalism
