Anywhere else would have been chaos, as it was there were about 40 civilians with tactical rifles at the Dallas demonstration and the police had no trouble separating the bad guys from the good. There was ONE shooter, he targeted only police, and though the way he was removed might be alittle related to tossing a bundle of dynamite into the salon, it was more effective thanks to the command detonation.
Frankly I think I don’t think anyone “won” this last weekend, but if anyone showed tolerant restraint, it was DPD.
If only there were something we could do about this. We have all decided to accept it is okay to have a non-zero chance of going out and being shot today. Because someone thinks their right to a gun supersedes your right to life.
That’s a pretty damned stupid thing to say. Following instructions is resisting arrest? Being a kid is resisting arrest? Keeping your hands in sight and acknowledging the crazed gun-holding bigot is resisting?
