    I’m pretty sure any or all of my children, the youngest most of all, but maybe they learned from her!- would do that. When it comes to hanging out outside, with their friends or playing alone, I don’t mind that so much. Although the fear that comes when they don’t show immediately isn’t fun.

    So you make sure the kid knows that the FIRST call is the “or else” whether or not you use the words. Consequences make a difference.
