An ancient guy that lives near me was driving a car very similar to Cosmo’s, a 1957 Imperial, when he let the oil run out and it siezed up on him. The mechanic told me it was going to cost over 6Gs to have that hemi rebuilt, so, as far as I know, the old guy parked it.
In fact, given that that was a couple years ago, and the man was in his upper 90s then, I’m not sure he’s running anymore either.
