I am aware of the resent violent protests against Trump supporters, and regardless of where I stand, I condemn it, but the strip is also out of context! No one was burning the American flag or declaring to ‘make America Mexico’ to my knowledge. Shame on Mr. Mike Lester for making it even worse, and if I’m wrong, I apologize to this cartoonist. Maybe he saw something on the media I did not.
Wouldn’t it be better if our legislators finally did some real work on eliminating the root cause of our immigration problem or are we doomed to have no progress because of adherence to two ineffectual ideologies instead of a well thought out compromise?

On Monday night, the politician connected his desire to punch the protester with both the good, “old days” in America and the country’s more aggressive foreign policy under a President Trump.
“Then they said to me, ‘What do you think of waterboarding?’” Trump said. “I said I think it’s great, but we don’t go far enough.”
To that, the crowd broke out into cheers and chants of “USA,USA.”“It’s true. We don’t go far enough,” Trump said. “We don’t go far enough.”
“Now the press will write tomorrow that Trump is a mean guy,” he said. “I’m not a mean guy. I’m just a guy who doesn’t want to be pushed around by a bunch of animals.”

The behavior is inexcusable from either side, but of four clips I caught on different networks, the Trump guys threw the first punch in THREE! But yes, the violence IS Trump’s tool and key operating procedure, demonstrated many times during the campaign.
